Types of Disputes

Usage — Billing disputes involving water consumption and associated metering devices.

*NOTE: A usage dispute applies to the current charges and is not on-going. A new usage dispute must be submitted in writing for all future charges.

Other — All other disputes not covered above such as erroneous classification after notice to DC Water, misapplication of account credits, incorrect impervious area, incorrect meter size, or payments applied to the wrong account.

*NOTE: Other disputes apply to the two (2) year period preceding the date the dispute was submitted in writing.
